Meet Your Provider

Tiffany Brown, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC is the founder of Iris Behavioral Health and Wellness, as well as the provider. Tiffany is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She has approximately 10 years of experience in mental health nursing, caring for hundreds of patients with a diverse range of mental health diagnoses. Her professional and educational experience has provided her with the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, caring for age groups along the lifespan.

Tiffany is originally from Ohio where she attended Aultman College for her undergraduate degree in nursing. During one of her clinical rotations at Aultman College she spent time on an inpatient psychiatric unit. This is where her passion for mental health nursing began. Upon graduating and obtaining her license as a Registered Nurse, she began working on the very same inpatient psychiatric unit where her interest and passion for caring for those with mental health conditions began.

Tiffany later decided to further her education and attend Walden University. There she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing degree in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Upon obtaining her Master’s degree she worked at an outpatient Community mental health agency.

In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travel, boating, and camping. She is a member of both the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. Tiffany considers it an honor to work with her clients and is dedicated to providing each with safe, effective, high-quality care in a non-judgmental environment.

Therapeutic Approach

I chose nursing as my profession because I truly feel drawn to helping those in need. I believe in providing non-judgmental, empathetic, safe, and effective care to those in need regardless of race, lifestyle choices, financial status, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, or disability.

I embrace a patient-centered, holistic approach that recognizes and integrates the principles and modalities of holistic healing into my clinical practice. I believe it is of importance to nurture wholeness, peace, and healing by valuing each clients' physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and environmental strengths and challenges.

I chose the name Iris for my practice as the iris flower represents wisdom, hope, trust, and courage. It is my desire for each client I encounter to experience enhanced wisdom related to their diagnosis and treatment options as a result of the education I provide during their sessions. This ultimately enables my clients to make informed decisions regarding their care and treatment. With my client's participation, together we will develop treatment plans that are meaningful and tailored to meet their specific needs. Additionally, I aim to restore hope and inspire courage in those I provide care to while also establishing a trusting, therapeutic client-provider relationship.

I consider it an honor to work with my clients on their journey to wellness.
